Ali has been with Pence Capital Management since its inception. He is a senior member of the Investment Team serving as an economist and earnings analyst.
Ali serves as the head of the research team, primarily responsible for individual stock selection, risk management and creation of Pence UITs and Indices. His research covers topics in technological innovations, changes in consumer behavior and government policies and its effect on corporate earnings, aggregate demand, and economic growth.
Prior to joining Pence, Ali was a research analyst at MarketPsych, where he specialized in quantitative strategies. His main research covered topics in macroeconomics and behavioral finance.
He holds a Ph.D. degree in economics from Claremont Graduate University, a master’s degree in economics from University of California at Davis and a bachelor’s degree in economics, summa cum laude, from Anadolu University, Turkey.
